Position Duties
Independently travels to conduct field inspections of properties and audits for compliance with applicable marijuana rules and regulations, and re-investigates as necessary to ensure adherence, including but not limited to records, premises operations, and clientele requirements. Conducts on-site compliance inspections for marijuana establishments by comparing the actual physical conditions and usage of the premises with documentation maintained by the local marijuana licensing authority, ensuring adherence to regulations. Collaborates with state and local agencies to coordinate inspections. Prepares comprehensive reports on observations and findings. Prepares correspondence concerning violations. Prepares status reports on violation calls and cases, facility inspections, calls, and complaints, and participates in weekly or bi-weekly meetings to update the County Attorney's staff. Prepares staff reports for meetings. Provides testimony in court regarding disputed violations as necessary. Maintains files and records of inspection and compliance studies. Collaborates regularly with County Attorney staff on enforcement issues. Provides assistance to code compliance team members as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalency required
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of one (1) year or more in code compliance investigations preferred
LICENSE:
- Valid Driver's License upon the date of hire AND ability to obtain a valid Colorado Driver's License within 60 days of hire required
