Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Yoga/Pilates Instructor to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will also hold a personal training certification to provide additional one-on-one or small group training sessions. This role is perfect for an instructor who thrives in a dynamic fitness environment, enjoys working with a variety of clients, and values teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Lead safe, effective, and engaging yoga and/or pilates classes.
- Provide personalized coaching and modifications for all fitness levels.
- (If certified) Conduct personal training sessions and small group training as scheduled.
- Deliver excellent customer service, creating a welcoming and motivating environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workout space.
- Collaborate with the Bloc Fitness team to enhance member experience and community engagement.
Physical Requirements
· Instruct and cue while moving through poses or exercises, often on and off the mat for extended periods.
· Assist clients with hands-on adjustments when appropriate and within scope of practice.
· Move, bend, twist, and balance through a wide range of motion.
· Lift and reposition light to moderate equipment such as reformers, mats, bolsters, or weights (up to approximately 25–40 lbs).
· Maintain the physical stamina to teach multiple classes or private sessions in succession.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Certified yoga or Pilates Instructor (required).
- Personal Training Certification (preferred, not required).
- Prior group fitness instruction experience strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and connect with clients.
- Team player with a positive and professional attitude.
- Evening and weekend availability is required.
Compensation:
- Paid per class, $30-$35 per hour.
- Hourly pay for personal training sessions, including small group or class-based personal training, $30 per hour.
