Senior Project Manager
Summary/Objective
Tasman is seeking a qualified professional to fill a Construction Senior Project Project Manager position. This key role within the Tasman construction earthwork group supports ongoing construction projects for an established client in the Rocky Mountain Region. Building on Tasman’s history of successful execution of environmental and construction-focused projects, this position will help expand the scope and type of future project opportunities.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide full client and project management for multiple remediation, abatement, and construction projects.
- Engage in and assume management duties of existing projects while proactively developing, scoping, and costing new opportunities.
- Work with existing client representatives to maintain and improve professional and corporate relationships.
- Execute projects within established frameworks, SOPs, budgets, and schedules.
- Oversee junior project managers and field-based supervisors related to overall execution quality, timeliness development of project proposals, project execution, preparation of deliverables to ensure clients needs are being met.
- Build and manage dedicated project teams to meet client and project requirements.
- Review and/or prepare and submit project deliverables.
- Work directly with Tasman resource groups to secure technical input and support.
- Collaborate closely with Tasman Construction for construction-focused project execution.
- Oversee administrative activities including budget tracking, accruals, cash flow forecasting, and invoice review/submittal.
- Attend client-sponsored safety meetings and ensure team adherence to client and Tasman health and safety requirements.
- Monitor changes in client procedures and training requirements; communicate updates to project personnel.
- As necessary, hire, train, and manage team resources.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in environmental, civil/structural, or general construction disciplines.
- Proven experience in developing cost proposals and schedules, cash flow and cost reports.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and client management abilities.
- Familiarity with equipment and material management in a field setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of job duties, SOP requirements, and health & safety regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and train staff, focusing on continuous improvement and professional growth.
Work Environment
This role operates in a fast-paced field and office environment in various weather conditions.
Physical Requirements:
Light to medium – up to 50 pounds.
Frequent standing, walking, and travel to client locations.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime required based on project needs.
Required Education and Experience
- At least 10+ years of relatable industry experience.
Preferred Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, construction management, or related field (desired but not required).
- Oil and Gas remediation experience.
- Experience working with environmental regulations in the Rocky Mountain Region.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Employee must be authorized to work in the United States and must possess a valid driver’s license.
