Purem is currently hiring Fulltime Rework Welders (TIG) in our brand-new Louisville, KY facility. This Monday – Friday position offers opportunity to advance your career while maintaining a work/life balance. Rework Welders (TIG) are responsible for Reworking pre-welded devices from robotic stations using MIG and TIG welding machines. This position is ideal for welders that want to work in a clean, safe, climate-controlled environment.

Rework Welder Job Duties

• Examines surface of part to determine extent of defect.
• Fills holes and gaps of defected part by MIG and TIG welding area based on specifications.
• Welds sub-assemblies and/or final assemblies
• Place re-worked parts on in-process racks to be leak tested.
• Operate robotic weld cells, gauges, leak testers
• May manually assembles and weld complete exhaust systems that have not already been welded from start to end using components parts supplied.

Rework Welder Qualification

• Ability to lift 35 pounds unassisted
• Must have basic math skills
• Ability to work in loud and noisy environment
• Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions and procedures
• Team player
• Minimum six (6) months’ related experience in manufacturing setting.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Required to take qualification tests using the GMAW (MIG/MAG) and GTAW (TIG) processes on site
