Job Title: Mixer Driver

Job Summary: Under the direction of the concrete operations manager, the mixer driver is primarily responsible to operate and maintain an assigned ready-mixed truck as well as ensure a timely delivery of product as per customer request.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.
- Assume responsibility for the proper operation and maintenance of company vehicle (e.g. change flat tires, keep mixer clean, and use of reclaimer and washout facilities).
- Perform daily pre and post safety checklists on mixer truck prior to and following hauling concrete.
- Observe and obey all traffic laws in the operation of assigned company vehicle.
- Record the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) log at the end of each shift.
- Record all information on each delivery ticket and turn in a signed delivery ticket.
- Record information of federal paperwork.
- Deliver concrete to each job within the specifications as instructed on the delivery ticket.
- Maintain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) and department of transportation (DOT) medical card.
- Advise the management of any customer situations beyond scope of authority.
- Maintain insurable driving record.
- Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times.

Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Must hold a current Commercial Driver License and Medical Card.
- Preferred, but not required: one year mixer driver experience or equivalent.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
- Sitting: 50% of time
- Standing: 20% of time
- Driving: 30% of time
- Weight Lifted: Must frequently be able to lift and carry up to 65 pounds. May occasionally lift items above their head.
- Physical Movement: May frequently be required to walk over uneven ground, balance, stoop/crouch, kneel, grab and hold objects. Required to climb a ladder on the truck several times a day.
- Speaking / Listening: Needs to be able to communicate well with customers, dispatch, supervision, receive and follow instructions, and understand safety requirements.
- Working Conditions: 40% of time will be spent working outside in the elements. Must be able to work long and irregular hours (early and late) during the busy season.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Technology: Must be able to use an iPad, cell phone, and company radio for work instructions, maps, and communicating with dispatch.
