Hybrid – Buffalo, NYMoog’s Corporate Group is seeking an Accounts Payable Lead!
As the Accounts Payable (AP) Lead, you will exercise your strong ability to prioritize work as you lead a team of AP Analysts. Good communication skills are key, as you will need an aptitude for leading and coaching others.
You will work a hybrid schedule (~3 days per week), on site at our Corporate Headquarters in East Aurora, NY.
To be considered for this opportunity, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
Typically, bachelor’s degree (preferably in Accounting or Finance related field).
At least four (4) years of accounts payable experience.
Over two (2) years of supervisory or managerial experience.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is desired.
Experience in a Finance Shared Services environment is preferable.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; must be good at listening, giving, and receiving feedback, asking questions, and seeking clarification.
Significant working knowledge of core finance and accounting business processes (e.g., Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, etc.) and comfort with Tier 1 ERP systems (Oracle or SAP). Experience with Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and/or AP Automation solutions (e.g., Concur, OpenText, OnBase) is desired.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is desired.
As the Accounts Payable Lead, your responsibilities will include…
Core Operations
Coordinate and oversee a team of AP analysts’ daily workflow and ensure productivity
Assign work, monitor progress, ensure deadlines are met, act as a point of contact between AP team and management
Serve as the main point of contact for escalation of supplier issues and internal stakeholders’ inquiries and problem solving
Coordination & communication with appropriate internal stakeholders to solve problems and define sustainable solutions
Provide communication externally with suppliers, following appropriate issue escalation procedures
Oversee how processes are applied across whole team, ensures consistency and enforces policies
Trained in and work, as needed, in multiple ERP systems to assist AP teams, identify process improvements, and monitor activities
Team / People Management
Support and engage AP team members on technical or process related questions
Design and maintain AP team training objectives, training manuals and guides
Ensure new team members successfully on-board and train, and Senior Analysts train new team members in accordance with training objectives, manuals, and procedures
Strategy and Compliance
Support manager with month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting
Serve as a key resource for internal and external audit requests as necessary
Analyze AP metrics, trends, and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities
Assist with ERP upgrades, automation projects, and process redesign initiatives
Take a forward-thinking approach to identify areas for process improvement and streamline operations

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $75,000.00–$95,000.00 AnnuallySalary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
