You’ll be working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring efficient delivery of a customer focused and cost-effective service, whether you are agreeing terms with a new supplier, resolving an issue with IOSH’s facilities or responding to an emergency situation.

This is an onsite role, forming a key part of our business continuity and operational cover, including participation in the on-call rota and working a 35-hour week in line with business needs, which may include weekends and bank holidays.

In addition, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing staff rotas, including on call and annual leave to ensure cover including weekends and bank holidays.
  • To manage the CAFM system, ensuring accuracy of records, providing regular reports and analysis to the Manager.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you’ll have prior experience in leading workplace and facilities teams, providing clear guidance, positive support, and regular one-to-one meetings to help develop and motivate your team.

You’ll have a solid understanding of building compliance requirements including fire safety, health & safety, and legionella.

Using your excellent organisation and planning skills you will have the ability to lead and monitor planned preventative maintenance programmes. Additionally, you will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to easily build rapport whether it be with colleagues across the business or when liaising with suppliers and organising contractors.

Possessing strong administration skills and attention to detail, you will ensure that records are accurate and up to date. You will be resilient when under pressure and be proactive in identifying and resolving operational issues quickly and effectively.
