We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Energy Marshal to join our team and oversee Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Responsibilities
- LOTO Program Management:
- Develop, implement, and manage the Lockout/Tagout program across all facilities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to energy isolation.
- Training and Education:
- Conduct regular training sessions for employees on LOTO procedures, emphasizing the importance of energy isolation for safety.
- Provide ongoing education to staff on updates to LOTO policies and best practices.
- Inspections and Audits:
- Perform regular inspections and audits to assess the effectiveness of LOTO procedures.
- Identify and address any deficiencies in energy isolation practices and documentation.
- Procedure Development:
- Collaborate with relevant teams to develop and update LOTO procedures based on changes in equipment or processes.
- Ensure that all LOTO procedures are well-documented, accessible, and easily understood by employees.
- Incident Response:
- Lead investigations into incidents related to energy isolation failures.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve overall safety.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about changes in safety regulations and standards related to energy isolation.
- Ensure that the LOTO program aligns with the latest regulatory requirements.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Work closely with maintenance, operations, and safety teams to integrate LOTO procedures seamlessly into daily work practices.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to promote a culture of safety awareness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing Lockout/Tagout programs in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- In-depth knowledge of energy isolation principles, procedures, and equipment.
- Strong understanding of relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, ASP) is a plus.
