We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to help manage vendor relationships, ensure timely payments, and support our financial operations. What You’ll Do:

• Process and maintain accounts payable records with accuracy and efficiency.
• Support invoice processing, payment execution, and vendor account reconciliation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve billing issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of AP processes and systems.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or 3+ years of AP experience.
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software; NetSuite and AS400 a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Customer service mindset and a team-player attitude.

Essential Functions:

• Accounts Management. Manage accounts payable using accounting software and other programs.
• Payment Accuracy. Ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.
• Invoice Processing. Process due invoices for payments.
• Bill Entry. Manual and automated upload bill entry for various types of vendors and suppliers.
• Cost Comparison. Process bills for inbound container shipments from supplier for both purchase price and landing cost.  Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges.
• Freight Analysis. Analysis and bill entry for outbound freight cost. 
• Process Improvement. Analyze workflow processes.  Recommend procedure improvements. 
• Account Reconciliation. Reconcile vendor/supplier AP aging balances.
• Vendor Relations. Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors.
• Office Attendance. On-site presence Monday-Friday. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or 3 years of Accounts Payable-related working experience.  
• Knowledge of general accounting procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Proficient in data entry MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and other accounting software.
• NetSuite, AS400 or similar ERP experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritizes multiple tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written and communication skills.
• Work independently but also in a team environment.
