Job Description
As part of the Planning Department, you will be exposed to different areas of Supply Chain Management.
Candidates will work on rotations. One rotation will be in Capacity and Production Planning and another rotation will be in Import/Export.
The purpose of this position is to assist in the daily operations of the Planning Department to enable on time delivery of materials and production in compliance with applicable regulations & LEGO Group Policies, and within the right cost. The role will also learn about the outbound delivery of Finished Good Product to the Distribution Centers and/or components/equipment to other Production Sites.
IMPORT/EXPORT
Assist the administration and filings for LVA Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ)
Monitor in – transit movements of shipments
Collect documentation for import and export declarations
Support US tariff classification and filing of US customs entries
Payment of freight invoices
Create and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as customs duties costs and savings, outbound truck delivery, inbound receipts
CAPACITY & PRODUCTION PLANNING
Assist in routine reporting tasks (creation / updating / summarization)
Assist in rescheduling work centers based on movements
Review pre-pack materials to reduce excess stock
Maintain Planning KPIs
Convert orders in the planning horizon
Audit production plan for duplicate orders and changeovers
Assist in testing new IT systems and programs
Monitor slacks in production timing
Adjust work center efficiency in SAP
Assist in development and maintenance of Reporting macros in Excel
Requirements
Area of Study – Supply Chain Mgt, Logistics, Business Administration,
Years exp – currently pursuing Bachelors or Associate Degree
2 yr vs 4yr – No preference
Analyst skills, admin, Data analytics, creating reports
Available in winter or summer
Masters a Plus
Starting Hourly Rate $23.68
