As the CNA Scheduler you will act as the liaison between the Patient Care Manager and the RN Case Manager on staffing needs and CNA patient care.  This position will require communication, organization, detail with a sense of urgency as you schedule personal care for patients, communicate schedule as needed and provide administrative support to the patient care team to provide quality patient care.   This position is the first level "go to person" for the CNA team. 


The Capstone Hospice dedicated CNA team is responsible for providing quality care and support to our patients who are in the final stages of their life while providing understanding and emotional support to the families. The CNA is responsible for providing the care and assistance to patients in their private homes and Assisted Living Facility (ALF) by following the direction of the IDG care plan under the direction of the RN.


The CNA Scheduler will work in the office with the expectations of working Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm in the Capstone office located in Peachtree Corners.  This position will report to the CNA Supervisor. 

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be eligible: 

  • High school diploma or GED. 
  • Proven experience in an administrative, leadership, supervisory or lead position. 
  • Experience as a CNA or understanding of the hospice aide requirements, is a plus. 
  • Competent in Microsoft Products to include Excel, Word, and Teams. 
  • Experience using an electronic medical system, prefer Wellsky/Consolo.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  •   Act as the first level, “go to person” for the CNA team. 
  • Creates, coordinates, reports, posts, and manages all functions related to CNA schedules according to patient’s plan of care.  
  • Coordinate vacation time off requests to ensure appropriate coverage. 
  • Secure call out coverage, maintain accurate attendance records and notify management of attendance related issues. 
  • Communicate with facility and team of changes to CNA visits. 
  • Ensure direct care staff documentation is completed accurately and timely. 
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure optimum services to patients/families’ requests and needs change.
  • Communicate in a courteous and respectful fashion. 
  • Assist in creating a culture of superior customer service. 
  • Bi-weekly payroll reporting to include reviewing time reporting in Wellsky and reporting via Excel file. 
  •  Completes in the annual review process.

Physical Requirements:

Lifting occasionally of more than 25lbs, sitting 4-8 hours/day, bending stooping, squatting and/or twisting repeatedly throughout the day. Position requires close work with others in an office setting, finger dexterity; adequate hearing and vision (with or without correction). May occasionally work longer than 8 hour/day. 

Mental Requirements:

Must be able to work independently, make judgments based on assessments and data available and act accordingly. Must be flexible, innovative and possess good interpersonal skills. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress and demonstrate emotional stability.

Working Conditions:

Work in an office setting with exposure to office lighting and heating/air systems.  Working in a collaborative environment to include working in a team cubical setting. 


This position is full-time, salaried-exempt paid position.
