About the Role:
The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our manufacturing facility in Mendota, IL. This position is responsible for overseeing the production process, managing a team of operators, and ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The supervisor will implement best practices in production management, optimize workflows, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless operations and addressing any production-related issues that may arise. Ultimately, the Production Supervisor is key to delivering high-quality products to our customers on time and within budget.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes and quality control standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in non-durable goods manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
- Certification in production and inventory management (CPIM) or similar credentials.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily production activities and manage a team of production workers to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows as necessary to meet production targets.
- Conduct regular quality checks and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and minimize downtime.
