Job Summary:
The Vice President of Program Development is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing strategies to improve health outcomes for Avow continuum of care patients. Utilizing skills to align the organization’s mission with clinical initiatives and working collaboratively with the executive team of Avow, oversees Avow Care Services, as well as Avow overall provider practice for all care service lines including ensuring the group is compliant and cost-effective. The role will also be responsible for managing provider data, contract negotiations, and partnerships. The executive will serve as a strategic partner to market Avow to initiate value-based payment models, drive performance, and achieve financial goals and grow value-based covered lives. Including responsibility for implementing solutions that achieve top quartile performance in quality and utilization, appropriate reimbursement for health care services, fostering partnerships with health systems, ACOs and Medicare advantage organizations. Key duties involve managing providers, new business and care line development, implementation of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy for provider workflow. Development of budgets and forging strategic partnerships to meet organizational goals.
Job Duties include the following.
- Strategic leadership and planning: Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy that aligns with the organization's business goals, and financial targets.
- Operational oversight: Translates high-level strategy into actionable programs and workflows.
- Program development and management: Oversees the creation and execution of programs designed to improve health outcomes, such as care coordination, patient engagement, and chronic disease management.
- Data analysis and insights: Utilizes data analytics to identify health trends, stratify risk within the population, and measure the effectiveness of various initiatives. This includes monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress towards organizational goals.
- Artificial Intelligence: Utilization of AI to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance patient services by, ensuring ethical and compliant use, and building out AI capabilities to drive continued efficient care line growth.
- Stakeholder engagement: Serves as a key liaison and builds strong relationships with internal and external partners, including providers, health systems, accountable care organizations, Medicare advantage organizations, community organizations, and executive leadership.
- Financial management: Manages the budget for providers and drives initiatives that reduce per capita healthcare costs and improve financial performance.
- Team leadership and development: Hires, mentors, and leads a high-performing team of providers responsible for executing organizational priorities across the continuum of care.
- Regulatory compliance: Ensures that all initiatives comply with relevant state and federal healthcare regulations, as well as certification and accreditation standards.
- Planning: Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.
- Oversees Provider Management and Scheduling: Medical provider oversight involves ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of clinical services by overseeing operations, including the director overseeing staff, and ensuring high patient care standards. Key responsibilities include supervising providers, ensuring accurate scheduling and resources, developing policies and procedures, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Manages the operational processes that support healthcare providers, including credentialing, onboarding, and accuracy of provider records.

Qualifications
Education: An advanced degree, such as a Master's in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Master's in Public Health (MPH), Master of Business Administration (MBA), or a Master of Nursing (MSN).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid Florida Driver’s License. Registered Advance Practice Nurse state of Florida, valid CPR certification.
Experience: Seven or more years of progressive leadership experience in provider management, clinical operations, or healthcare program development. Value-based care expertise: Deep understanding of value-based care models, risk-sharing arrangements, and how to drive performance under these contracts.
Leadership and influence: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, build consensus, and effectively communicate a compelling vision to diverse stakeholders.
Strategic thinking: The ability to understand the broader healthcare landscape and develop innovative, long-term strategies that drive organizational change.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
