Job Description:
As the Workday Analyst, Advanced Scheduling & Labor Optimization, you will support and enhance Ivy Rehab’s workforce management processes across the enterprise. You will lead the design, configuration, and optimization of scheduling systems to ensure effective staffing, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This is a critical role in ensuring that our clinical and administrative teams are staffed appropriately while aligning with labor laws and organizational goals.
This role will report to the Sr. Manager - Workforce Planning and be an integral member of the Finance team.
This position has the opportunity to work remotely with 10% travel for business meetings, the candidate must be based in EST / CST to be considered.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead the functional design, configuration, and optimization of the Workday Advanced Scheduling and Labor Optimization modules.
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design efficient, compliant, and scalable scheduling solutions.
Configure shift templates, scheduling rules, compliance settings, and coverage patterns to support both patient care and operational needs.
Utilize Workday Labor Optimization to generate AI-driven staffing recommendations, balancing labor demand, employee preferences, skills, cost constraints, and compliance.
Ensure seamless integration with Time Tracking, Absence Management, Payroll, and other related Workday modules.
Collaborate with HRIS and technical teams on system integrations, data migration, and reporting needs.
Provide subject matter expertise on workforce scheduling best practices, labor laws, and compliance regulations.
Develop and execute test plans (unit, integration, UAT) and oversee deployment of new features and enhancements.
Deliver training and support change management efforts to drive adoption and effective use of scheduling tools across the organization.
Act as the primary point of contact for all scheduling and labor optimization configuration, enhancements, and issue resolution post go-live.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
5+ years of Workday experience, with 2+ years specifically in Advanced Scheduling and/or Workforce Management.
Proven experience configuring and managing Workday Labor Optimization (WLO) in a shift-based or healthcare environment.
Strong understanding of labor laws, compliance rules, and workforce planning strategies.
Demonstrated success in leading Workday scheduling implementations or major enhancements.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Workday certification in Advanced Scheduling and/or Labor Optimization
Experience working in healthcare, rehabilitation, or other industries with complex labor and scheduling needs.
Familiarity with union contracts, staff credentialing, and labor rule constraints.
Agile project management experience or certification.
