Development Lead Engineer (Multiple Openings)

Responsibilities:

The Development Lead Engineer will serve as a technical lead in the design, development, implementation, and testing of SEL firmware and software systems in connection with a range of SEL Research and Development (R&D) initiatives. The incumbent will apply the principles of electrical and computer engineering and: 1) ensure that engineering projects meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives and that clear and efficient communications exist between cross-functional R&D engineering teams and internal and external customers; 2) play a lead role in the development and refinement of SEL’s systems software engineering and R&D processes; 3) develop advanced knowledge of SEL’s power systems and related technologies and the interplay of those technologies with SEL’s software and firmware systems; and 4) participate in industry technical meetings and conferences as required to meet operational and strategic goals.
