JOB SUMMARY

Cedars at Dungeness is now hiring a part-time Bartender to join our team. This is a tipped, evening shift position in a fast-paced environment. We’re looking for someone with strong bartending skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to provide outstanding service while keeping up with a busy atmosphere. service to guests and Cocktail Servers from the service bars following standard recipes in a friendly, enthusiastic and
outgoing manner. Clean and stock bar supplies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Greet customers and takes drink and food orders
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes
• Mix ingredients for cocktails and serve wine and beer (bottled or draft)
• Ring drink and food orders into register, collect payment, and make change
• Complete supply requisitions
• Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays
• Stock liquors, beer, wine, and other beverage supplies
• Ensure that beverage service stations are clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Follows alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and deals with intoxicated guests. Assesses guest demeanor and identifies when behavior should be called to the attention of Management
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
• Must follow all safety rules and regulations
• Follow all general and department policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Two (2) years previous experience as a Bartender and cash handling experience preferred
• Must meet State minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages
• Knowledgeable of state liquor laws
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
• Must know bar terminology and its application to service
• Innovative problem-solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve complaints
• Basic knowledge of all bar equipment and its functions including Point of Sale System
• Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team
• members
• Strong organization, prioritization and multiple-tasking skills
• Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing to operate a
• cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and
• understand portion sizes
