POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides routine maintenance and upkeep of all buildings and support equipment to facilitate continuity of business operations and ensure employee safety. Performs basic vehicle and generator service and maintenance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs routine cleaning, maintenance and repair on all buildings and grounds in the assigned area.
- Conducts periodic inspections of all offices and common areas to ensure that all lights, doors, fixtures and other furnishings are operational, replacing as needed.
- Ensures that buildings’ exterior areas and grounds are clean and in good repair, reporting any repair needs to supervisor.
- Performs routine maintenance, to include oil and filter changes, fluid checks and point inspection on fleet vehicles and generators as needed.
- Models LifeShare’s mission and values, integrating them into daily decisions, behaviors and actions.
- Promotes cooperation and communication within a team to achieve Company and departmental goals and deliverables.
- Meets and exceeds customer expectations and adhere to established quality practices while seeking to improve work performance.
- Completes other related projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read routine plans and diagrams and follow simple instructions in the maintenance, repair, installation or replacement of small equipment and furnishings
- Must be able to use small hand tools necessary to install, repair or replace small equipment and furnishings
- Must be mechanically inclined and have strong troubleshooting skills
- Must be dependable, punctual and have effective communication skills
- Must demonstrate a positive approach toward customers and other staff members, acting in a highly professional manner at all times
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS / ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to lift equipment, boxes and supplies up to 50 lbs., unassisted
- Must be able to perform duties requiring lifting, standing or bending for long periods of time.
- Low risk of exposure to infectious diseases from blood and blood products.
- Generally works in corporate office environment except when visiting with managers in Center or Laboratory operations.
- Must be able to work irregular hours
- May require occasional travel (including overnight) to multiple facilities; must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by our commercial auto insurance carrier
