Position Summary
Our client is seeking a strategic and proactive Public Policy Manager to design and execute policy programs that effectively communicate the value of their platforms and products to U.S. policymakers and key stakeholders. This role spans content, policy, and product domains, supporting initiatives that educate, inform, and build trust with external audiences while advancing the organization’s public policy objectives.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, creative, and results-driven professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and can operate independently. They bring a strong understanding of the policy landscape, excel at cross-functional collaboration, and are skilled at navigating complex reputational and regulatory challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement policy-focused experiences, events, and outreach programs to engage and inform policymakers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Policy, Product, Legal, Communications, and Partnerships to align on policy goals and initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including policymakers, trade associations, industry partners, nonprofit organizations, and thought leaders.
- Represent the organization at conferences, coalition meetings, working groups, and other public forums.
- Support executive engagement by preparing briefing materials and coordinating participation in stakeholder meetings and public appearances.
- Develop and manage internal processes to streamline team operations and enhance cross-functional communication.
- Travel as needed to support stakeholder engagement and event participation.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in government, technology, public policy, or nonprofit sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience engaging with policy stakeholders and managing external relationships.
- Background in planning and executing policy programs or events.
- Familiarity with federal and/or state policy-making processes.
Location: Washington D.C (Onsite)
Role type: Contract 12 Month Position
Expected hours: 40 per week
