This track has two career paths: Clinician-Educator concentrating on teaching and Clinician-Investigator for concentrating on research/scholarship. Significant contributions in professional and academic service are required for both paths.
Job Description:
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Non- Invasive Cardiologist
Provide patient clinical services in the clinic, ambulatory, and in-patient settings.
Complete documentation in a timely manner.
Participate in non-invasive imaging services as credentialed for and as scheduled.
Participate in department committees, meetings, and other activities as scheduled.
Participate in scholarly activities including education and research activities with students and fellows as well as independently if desired.
Participate in non-Invasive call in a similar fashion to other non-invasive cardiologists.
Invasive/ Interventional Cardiologist
Provide interventional cardiology services on a routine basis in the Cardiac Cath lab. The services will include cardiac intervention and chronic total occlusion intervention. Provide an array of diagnostic catheterization procedures as needed to care for the cardiovascular patient population.
Provide patient clinical services in the clinic, ambulatory, and in-patient settings. Complete documentation in a timely manner.
Participate in department committees, meetings and other activities as scheduled.
Participate in scholarly activities including education and research activities with students and fellows as well as independently if desired.
Participate in interventional call in a similar fashion to other interventional cardiologists

Required Qualifications
Education: Degree of MD or DO from an accredited institution.
This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements, institutional standards of academic and professional excellence, alignment with peer institution benchmarks, and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community.
