Position Summary:
The Maintenance manager is responsible for performing and/or overseeing maintenance at Probi Redmond plant. This role ensures that all equipment, utilities, and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and regulatory requirements. The Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in supporting food safety, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:00AM-2:30PM (ability to be flexible)
Key Job Duties:
- Oversee maintenance operations on all plant machinery (steam boiler, HVAC, refrigeration, chillers, water system, electrical systems etc), utilizing proper technical expertise (internal or external) to ensure the safest and most efficient operation of all plant equipment.
- Overhaul preventive maintenance schedule in accordance with the equipment manufacturer’s recommendation and industry best practices for all plant equipment while maintaining it at highest level.
- Maintain a well-organized inventory of spare parts and critical supplies for plant mission critical equipment.
- Lead, manage, and continuously improve all sanitation programs, ensuring procedures are executed as documented and fully compliant with internal standards and industry best practices.
- Champion a culture of food safety and sanitation across the site in partnership with Quality and Probi leadership
- Manage team members to ensure high performance and compliance, by setting clear goals and holding technicians accountable for meeting plant objectives
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, calibrations, and repairs for management and regulatory review, performing root cause analysis for any abnormal conditions and failures and taking required corrective to prevent recurrence of such conditions
- Partner with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, facility expansion and food safety.
- Ensure timely and effective response to equipment breakdowns and emergencies to minimize production disruptions, by maintaining close coordination with production department.
- Ensure compliance with all workplace safety policies and environmental regulations, by conducting regular inspections and risk assessments to proactively address potential hazards.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned by management
- Accountable for monitoring CCP guidelines and promptly reporting any FSMS compliance issues, fostering a culture of proactive communication and ensuring the robustness of our food safety protocols
Company Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
- Must be able to read, write, and converse in the English language.
- Must be able to pass background check.
- Must be able to work in a variety of conditions: noise, dust, heavy lifting, repetitive motion, standing for long periods of time.
- Must be able to recognize audible hazards.
- Follow GMP, PPE, and company safety policies in performance of job duties.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines as described in the Employee Handbook.
- Maintain good attendance.
- Perform other projects / duties as assigned.
Work Experience and Education Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of maintenance management principles and practices
- 8-10 years of experience in Manufacturing maintenance, Food /Beverage Manufacturing Maintenance or industrial maintenance
- 3 -5 Years of experience in a Leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in a related field
- Good math and computer skills
