 Hourly Rate: $24.00 – $29.00/hour (based on experience)

Summary

The QI/QA Specialist participates in all aspects of quality assurance and performance improvement programs across the CIPP/DCIPP process. This role involves performing data entry, monitoring, and trend analysis to help improve systems, workflows, and outcomes. The Specialist provides technical assistance, maintains multiple data systems, and supports process evaluation in partnership with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance, QA, and oversight for data systems used by the CIPP/DCIPP process, including Placement, Central E-filing, CIPP/DCIPP Tracking, and the Child and Adolescent Strength Index (CASI) databases.
  • Support CIPP/DCIPP staff with data entry, monitoring, and reporting; ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with the DCFS Division of Placement and Permanency on the Centralized Matching process, offering oversight and data analysis.
  • Manage the CIPP/DCIPP calendar and maintain accurate communication for staffing changes and coverage.
  • Lead the program in collaboration with the University of Chicago on evaluation efforts.
  • Assist management in evaluating and improving processes, outcomes, and reporting accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of quality improvement goals.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
 • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field and at least 2 years of related experience required.
 • Master’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
 • Strong computer, written, and verbal communication skills required.
 • Experience with healthcare or Joint Commission-related safety initiatives preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
 • Strong data management, reporting, and analytical skills.
 • Familiarity with systems such as SACWIS, RTOS, and other data collection tools.
 • Ability to demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
 • Strong reasoning, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
 • Ability to follow Aunt Martha’s policies and procedures and work collaboratively across departments.

 • Demonstrates understanding of Aunt Martha’s 5-Step Performance Improvement process using the PDSA (Plan, Do, Study, Act) methodology.
 • Maintains confidentiality, professionalism, and respect in all communications.
 • Exhibits a commitment to accuracy, consistency, and data-driven improvement.
