Registered Nurse -RN
$30,000 Sign-On Bonus Available for Qualified Candidates
Full-Time, First Shift
Baptist Health outpatient oncology, where compassionate care meets advanced treatment. Our cancer center offers medical oncology, infusion therapy, radiation oncology, and genetic counseling. We also provide nutritional counseling, palliative care, psychological support, and access to support services. Our expert oncologists and team create personalized treatment plans with the latest technologies. Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings, identifying risk factors, and engaging with family when necessary.
Develop patient care plans in coordination with the healthcare team, ensuring they are tailored to patient needs and goals.
Provide direct patient care, ensuring comfort and communication during procedures, and adjusting care based on patient responses.
Coordinate care activities to ensure timely interventions and optimal patient outcomes.
Offer mentorship to new nurses and students, and actively participate in staff empowerment and professional development activities.
Contribute to department quality improvement initiatives, enhancing patient care and safety.
Demonstrate compassion, respect, and empathy in patient interactions, ensuring positive relationships with patients and families.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:
Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college/university or an associate degree with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience required. (In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and less than ten years’ experience, an associate degree in nursing will be acceptable for initial hire with the understanding that the individual must be enrolled within 12 months in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.)
Basic Life Support
ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
