Join the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System’s Communication & Outreach team to support community engagement and fundraising initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in donor relations, fundraising, grant management, and community engagement, all while making a meaningful impact on Library programs and services.
 
 
 
 
 
 

Essential Duties:
  • Provide administrative support to the PGCMLS Foundation and Communications & Outreach team.
  • Assist with donor communications, fundraising campaigns, grant applications and reporting.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and take meeting minutes, as needed. 
  • Support internal and external communications and digital content updates.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records of donors, volunteers and grants.
  • Staff Board meetings, outreach events and special programs, as needed. 
  • Collaborate with Library departments, volunteers and partner organizations.
  • Participate in planning teams and committees to advance Library initiatives.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required. Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred. 
  • Two or more years in related administrative or nonprofit work required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Able to balance multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively.
  • Professionalism, reliability and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Tech-savvy with experience using Google Apps, MS Office, digital platforms and other office equipment.
  • Bilingual candidates and experience in libraries, museums, nonprofits or marketing/communications are a plus.
 Additional Information:
  • This is a part time position at 17-19 hours per week with evening and weekend hours, as needed. Work schedule is TBD.
