The Midstream Revenue Accountant is responsible for tracking, managing volumes, and accounting for monthly billing and producer/customer settlement statements, among other duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Creates and distributes monthly invoices, remittances, and allocations for the Midstream Accounting Department.
- Manages the monthly midstream close process and conducts analysis related to gas plant and terminal accounting.
- Reviews monthly contract updates to ensure accurate customer settlement.
- Prepares timely and accurate gas plant allocations and production settlement statements or invoices in compliance with midstream service agreements.
- Communicates effectively with commercial, operations, and other stakeholders both internally and externally critical to job responsibilities.
- Prepares and analyzes monthly revenue accruals and accrual-to-actual analytics workbook.
- Prepares reports, schedules, and reconciliations associated with oil, gas, and NGL revenue.
- Prepares and uploads revenue-related journal entries into the appropriate accounting system.
- Adheres to policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Maintains confidentiality of financial information.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Public accounting, revenue accounting, and/or oil and gas experience are a plus.
- Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Quorum experience is a plus.
- ERP systems experience such as SAP is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Ability to reconcile complex accounts and ensure accuracy.
- Ability to meet changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the oil and gas industry
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required
- 1+ years of accounting experience is required

- None
Physical Demands and Hazards for Office Employees:
This position requires prolonged periods of sitting, frequent computer use, occasional lifting of office supplies, and may involve travel.
