Production Planner bei RBC Bearings

Principal Responsibilities

1. Ensures proper production control planning and scheduling to meet forecasts and production schedule.
2. Responsible for overseeing product in process, ensuring an accurate priority through the factory from start to finished goods and/or shipping.
3. Responsible for maintaining accurate WIP value through our processes by identifying, resolving, and preventing inaccuracies.
4. Communicate with product management on important customer needs:
   1. Develop in depth time lines and execute plans of recovery.
   2. Understanding critical customer needs and reacting quickly.
5. Support customer service by providing delivery dates and expected recovery dates on customer orders.
6. Responsible for signaling the release of product to manufacturing.
7. Communicate to management regarding work centers and areas of concern both internally and externally.
8. Ensures the latest drawing revisions are used in the manufacturing process.
9. Reconciling planned work orders in MRP system.
10. Perform system transactions as needed.

Qualifications

1 year of experience in purchasing and/or inventory control in a manufacturing environment or any combination of experience, education and training which would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Computer skills – Excel, Access a plus, General computer knowledge
2. Organization and follow up
3. General understanding of MRP and manufacturing processes
4. Communicate effectively, orally and in writing
5. Flexibility to alter tasks
6. Ability to self-prioritize in a consistently changing production environment
7. Bilingual ability a plus, not required
