Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Knoxville—a proud part of the Innovetive Petcare family—is seeking an experienced and compassionate LVT to join our Internal Medicine team.
Location: Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Knoxville | 10213 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37922
Schedule: Full-time | 4-day work week: Tuesday–Friday - NO WEEKENDS!
What You’ll Do
As a key member of our Internal Medicine department, you’ll work closely with our board-certified specialists and emergency team to provide advanced diagnostics and treatments for complex medical cases.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound-guided sampling, endoscopy, cystoscopy, bronchoscopy, and bone marrow aspirates
- Perform advanced patient monitoring for hospitalized and critical care cases
- Support veterinarians with client communication and ongoing case management
- Prepare and administer medications, fluids, and therapeutic treatments
- Collect and process lab samples (blood, urine, CSF, etc.)
- Manage and maintain specialized medical equipment
- Provide empathetic and supportive care to patients and their families throughout treatment

What We’re Looking For
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Tennessee (or eligible for licensure) required
- 2–3 years of experience in Internal Medicine, Emergency, or Specialty practice
- VTS (Internal Medicine or ECC) preferred but not required
- Strong background in anesthesia, critical patient monitoring, and diagnostics
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Advanced understanding of anesthesia protocols, surgical procedures, patient monitoring, and emergency care.
- Experience with a variety of anesthesia agents, equipment, and monitoring devices is essential.
- Familiarity with higher-level surgical procedures such as orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries is required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to perform the physical demands of assisting in surgeries and emergency situations, as well as work on your feet for long periods.
