As a Lending Solutions Representative, you will play a critical role in analyzing financial documents, reviewing credit reports, and ensuring compliance with lending guidelines to minimize risk. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, a thorough understanding of lending regulations to support sound decision-making, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our members while upholding the credit union’s financial health.
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Fort Wayne, IN - Corporate Office Lima Rd.
Schedule: Banking hours Monday-Friday, some Saturdays
Responsibilities:
- Provide general credit union information on all credit union services and policies, interest rates, terms of loans, dividends and interest computations, and insurance coverages to members.
- Analyze borrower’s credit profile, collateral, and capacity to repay the proposed loan obligation.
- Approve or reject loans within prescribed loan authority.
- Handle all aspects of loan servicing requests and work closely with loan officers to address specific loan questions, fulfill documentation requirements, and resolve any issues that arise.
- Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the underwriting phase.
- Ensure indirect loan funding is handled in a timely manner with proper documentation and compliance.
- Recommend loan alternatives to members, as necessary.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- General experience and knowledge with computers and technological applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively, multitask, and solve problems with sound reasoning.
- Perform basic math functions such as add, subtract, multiply, divide, etc.
Qualifications:
- Job Level: Mid-Level
- Required Experience: 3-5 years of experience in loan processing or a related role.
- Preferred Experience: Credit analytics and regulatory compliance experience within banking and/or consumer lending.
- Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
