The Position

Roche Diagnostics Corporation seeks an Implementation Specialist at its Indianapolis, IN location.

Duties: Provide advanced technical recommendations to support clients’ installations of Roche’s medical diagnostics system throughout the product lifecycle. Perform project management and technical support for remote- and onsite installations, configurations, testing, troubleshooting and repairs for Roche’s complex Diagnostics IT product solutions at customer sites. Direct and coordinate resources and activities to ensure project progress while meeting scheduling constraints and specified project performance parameters. Perform validation of IT solutions to evaluate product effectiveness. Perform post-sale technical implementation activities within prescribed time frames; follows documented procedures and processes to ensure product applications/solutions meet specifications and regulatory requirements. Prepare and fulfill detailed product specifications for installation and integration with customer’s internal environment, own applications (LIS, EMR, etc) and solutions. Make strategic recommendations to customers by addressing system hardware, software, security, and networking issues and vulnerabilities. Manage stakeholder expectations, identify risks, and formulate plans to minimize negative impacts on large and complex projects.

Education and experience required: Bachelor of Science degree or foreign degree equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Medical Technology or a closely related field and 4 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, Systems Manager, Systems Project Engineer, Systems Analyst, LIS Analyst, or a closely related position.

Special Requirements: Employer requires demonstrated experience in each of the following areas:

Microsoft SQL, Microsoft IIS, Oracle, Apache, JBoss, Drupal, PHP, Networking, Security, InterSystems IRIS and InterSystems Cache, Healthcare domain integration standards including ASTM, HL7, IHE, DICOM, HIPAA, and ADT, File parsing using XML, XSLT, CSV, Healthcare domain including clinical customer base and critical components of LIS and laboratory IT processes, workflows and automation, and Lab instrumentation and testing. 

Up to 50% domestic travel, fully-reimbursed. 

Telecommuting allowed up to 5 days per week from any location within the US.

The expected annual salary range for this position based on the primary  location for this position of Indianapolis IN is $167,472 to $187,700 per year.  Actual pay within the range will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
