Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately pulling and cutting wire from large spools to fill customer orders.
- Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
- Perform warehouse responsibilities as inventory management and packaging and labeling
- Inspecting incoming and outgoing material for accuracy and damage and reporting any discrepancies.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
- Receiving, storing, and distributing incoming materials and products. This may involve using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Properly completes production paperwork and utilizes a barcoding system.
- Reviews and follows shipping order instructions and specifications.
- Ability to operate an air compressed bander.
- Ability to read packaging instructions on work orders.
- Expected to be able to handle tasks/cross-train to help the company meet its goals.
Required Education and Experience:
- Education and/or experience – High School degree or equivalent preferred. Prior experience or training in a related field or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Math – Must be able to use and understand simple mathematics, using addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals. Knowledge of the Standard/Imperial measuring system is required, and knowledge of the metric system is a plus.
- Understanding and use of basic measuring instruments required; micrometers are preferred.
