What You'll Do:

As a valued technician on our team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring every vehicle that leaves our shop runs safely and efficiently. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles using the latest diagnostic technology, all while working in a clean, climate-controlled environment.

Used Car Technician Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems in a wide range of vehicles 
• Perform thorough inspections to help our service advisor team explain the work that needs to be done on the car to help maximize profits
• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess vehicle conditions
• Communicate effectively with service advisors to provide accurate estimates and timelines
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to all safety standards
• Ensure all repairs are completed to the highest standard and on schedule
• Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques
• Contribute to a positive team environment and shop culture by collaborating with colleagues

Qualifications

Used Car Automotive Technician Qualifications:

• ASE Certification or equivalent (preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an auto technician
• Proficiency with digital tools, diagnostic software, and general computer skills
• Knowledge of and experience with shop management software
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with service advisors and customers
