Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Handles litigated and non-litigated claims, including Auto Physical Damage (APD) and Cargo claims, from start to finish.
Manages a diverse caseload from across the U.S, ensuring timely and effective settlements while maintaining high professional standards.
Caseload: 100-120 claims, with 30% involving litigated files
Handle claims related to commercial auto incidents, including physical damage and liability claims.
Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims efficiently.
Manage both litigated and non-litigated claims.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Maintain detailed documentation for each claim.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful claim outcomes.


Additional Responsibilities:

Mandatory one-week onsite training at US Admin HQ in Oakridge, TN (travel and accommodations fully covered).
Mentors less experience co-workers to develop their understanding of procedures, state laws, and help others improve their claims handling ability

Qualifications 

High school Diploma or equivalent is required
5+ years in Heavy Commercial Auto/ Bodily Injury claims handling or a similar role.
Experience with APD and Cargo claims is a huge plus, a mix of both carrier and TPA experience is acceptable, however carrier experience is highly preferred.
Litigation experience is not required but preferred.  Exposure to litigated claims is essential.
Must hold an active adjuster license, multi-jurisdictional a plus. Licenses in Florida (FL) and /or Texas are required.  California (CA) is ideal and may replace the need for FL/TX licenses.
Strong understanding of commercial auto/trucking insurance principles.
Strong organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work are required.
Analytical thinking skills are needed to properly evaluate complex claims
A strong attention to detail is necessary as claims adjusters must carefully review documents and policies
Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills are required, experience with negotiations, knowledge of the litigation process is preferred but not required.
Typing speed of 65+ WPM
Basic computer skills or the ability to quickly learn new software are required
A strong work ethic and time management skills is needed, to efficiently handle a caseload ranging from minor to complex claims
Ability to establish and maintain good rapport with clients and claimants is needed.
Ability to calculate figures is required
