The Senior Master Service Technician is an expert-level position responsible for performing complex diagnostics, advanced repairs, and high-level maintenance on a wide range of vehicles. With a minimum of 10 years of professional automotive experience, this technician is expected to mentor junior team members, ensure repair quality meets or exceeds OEM and dealership standards, and help maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.
This role may also include performing final inspections and pre-delivery service on new vehicles to ensure all systems are in optimal working order before delivery to the customer.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on all vehicle systems with minimal supervision
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer and dealership quality standards
- Maintain detailed repair documentation and communicate effectively with service advisors and customers
- Assist in training, mentoring, and guiding entry-level and certified technicians
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections and quality checks on new vehicles
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace following all safety and compliance standards
- Continuously pursue ongoing training and certification opportunities
Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of professional automotive technician experience
- Master Certified Technician status required (ASE or manufacturer equivalent)
- Strong record of technical performance and diagnostic accuracy
- Proven experience in a dealer-level or large facility environment
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary automotive training preferred
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record
