Ensures quality standards are met by performing manual labor in packaging, returns processing, and product inspection. Under direct and general supervision.
Essential Duties:
- Ensures components are received and prepares according to specification sheet to complete job ticket.
- Safely places product on designated machine.
- Observes operation to detect faulty sealing and prevent conveyor jamming, package finished product in master carton, and place on pallet.
- Responsible for clearing misplacement of product according to departmental procedures.
- Responsible for producing quality product and verifying against “First Part Check List” form.
- Will notify Production Supervisor of any problems or issues that may impact production, safety, equipment and/or machinery.
- Is responsible for ensuring optimum production performance.
- May manually label cases.
- Ensures job tickets are completed accurately
- Perform basic visual quality inspections of products.
- Execute the daily activities of the Returns Management process.
- Accurately complete reports according to returns process and storage guidelines.
- Performs random check for quality output according to storage guidelines.
- Assist with inspecting finished product arriving from Mexico and/or Out Side Processing (O.S.P) for quality, place ‘QC Pass’ label if applicable, enter into inventory using RF Scanner.
- Report ‘Q.C Fail’ to manager for final disposition.
- Will move material returns to designated location using a manual or electric pallet jack.
- At the end of shift, will place pallet jack in the designated location.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean work area.
- Responsible for adhering to Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
- Attendance and punctuality are an essential job duty.

Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- 6 months - 1 year experience in a production environment or related field
Knowledge, Skills and General Abilities:
- Basic machine operation, assembly, packaging.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to use basic math
- Understand UOM and color codes
- General to advanced product inspection and test procedures
- General to advanced knowledge of quality assurance principles and processes
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to write routine reports.
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a group setting
- Ability to maintain the production pace of other team members
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Standing for periods of time.
- Frequent lifting up to 54 lbs.
- Frequent pushing/pulling up to 54 lbs.
- Must be flexible to work overtime.
- Frequent pushing/pulling, up to 1000 lbs. using a manual or electric pallet jack.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to use RF unit.
- Frequent Bending
