Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator with a minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating low voltage commercial and industrial electrical projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation and controls, and the ability to estimate projects ranging from small-scale installations to complex builds up to $15 million.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for electrical projects ranging from 0–5000 volts
• Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and scope to develop comprehensive cost proposals
• Estimate medium and high voltage systems, RNG (Renewable Natural Gas), and data center infrastructure
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment on scope and pricing
• Analyze labor, material, and subcontractor costs using industry-standard software
• Provide value engineering options and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Maintain and update estimating databases and templates
• Participate in bid reviews and presentations
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience estimating low voltage commercial and industrial projects
• Proven ability to estimate projects up to $15 million
• Familiarity with voltage levels from 0–5000 volts; medium/high voltage experience preferred
• Hands-on experience with automation and controls (field technician background a plus)
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Conest, Accubid, or McCormick
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience estimating RNG and data center projects
• Technical certifications or formal training in electrical systems or estimating
• Background in field installation or commissioning of automation systems
