Utilize the Pro-active Maintenance model to manage resources (people, parts, equipment and time) to maintain the facility to the Irving Standard supporting safety, audit readiness and food safety standards and goals.
Responsibilities
• Complete daily activities as outlined by the PWT and Facility Maintenance Supervisor. Conduct regular inspection of the facility and grounds for areas requiring repair. Document. Initiating repair to areas discovered. Advise and oversee all aspects of outside contractors.
• Facility Painting: Paint inside and outside of facility as needed. Inspect plant ceilings, walls, posts, and equipment for peeling or failing paint. Fix any issues promptly.
• Grounds maintenance: To keep all non-processing areas of the building up to Irving and auditor standards. Removal of snow from sidewalks and parking lot. Mowing, planting, and fertilizing the grass. Inspect lights and covers for any sign of breaks and replace if necessary.
• To maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. To keep PWT Supervisor informed of daily issues relating to facilities and building maintenance. To attend and participate in meetings, training and continuing education programs internally or externally as deemed appropriate by management.
• People: provide technical guidance to team supporting development and competency. Provide department supervisor and Manager with skills gaps and training plan.
Qualifications
High School Diploma
5+ Years in Production Facility
