Self-Direction DSP - Phoenix Area (Job #ES-ST)

ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the North Syracuse area with an young adult male who has an intellectual disability and Autism. He is looking for a dedicated person to provide him with transportation and support him both in the home and in community. Responsibilities include but are not limited to... participating in community activities, exploring his interests and hobbies, and working on independent living skills.

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Reliable vehicle and a valid NYS driver's license are required.

Schedule: up to 10 hours a week

Monday and Friday: times are flexible. However, would like someone who could be flexible if there were events during the day or evenings. He would like to attend Friday night dances once a month.

Saturday and Sunday are also an option.

Pay rate:

$20 per hour

Plus mileage and staff activity fee reimbursements.
