Position Summary
Assists department manager in planning and organizing department activities.

Responsibilities:Essential Functions
• Trains new employees.
• Accountable for assuring all work queues and missing charges are cleared in the practice.
• Monitors wait times in the practice and assures patients are seen timely.
• Assures front office team coverage for the practice.
• Creates and maintains daily/monthly work schedules.
• Functions as a resource liaison with all department team members and other ancillary departments.
• Ensures continuity of daily workflow.
• Monitors team member performance/documentation for quality assurance purposes.
• Assists team members with resolving customer concerns while working to increase overall customer satisfaction.
• Maintains records, reports, and appropriate statistical information.
• Implements new Process Improvement procedures.
• Reconciles daily schedule to ensure all patients are either checked in and/or no showed, along with televoxl report reconciliation.
• Verifies the no show list is worked daily and appropriate letters are sent to patients.
• Manages physician templates and slots to ensure effective scheduling and utilization.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state,
and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Other Related Functions
• Participates in departmental staff meetings and attends other meetings as assigned.
• Assists with timekeeping as needed.
• Completes all Orlando Health mandatory education.
• Assumes the responsibility for professional development and continuing education.
• Other duties as assigned.
Education/Training
High school graduate or equivalent. Computer skills required.
 
Licensure/Certification
None.
Experience
Two (2) years of patient financial services, patient scheduling or closely related experience. Associate degree in business or
