Pay Scale: $18-20/hr.
Summary
A Field Engineer is responsible for assigned open tickets and work in collaboration with senior engineering staff members, Helpdesk, and logistics to resolve technical issues in a timely fashion in order to maintain maximum customer satisfaction. A Field Engineer performs a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure the computer network performance meets company and user satisfaction. Assists Senior Network Engineer in the coordination of the activities of technical support specialists in managing workstations, network switches, routers, and servers. A Field Engineer provides tier 2 helpdesk support for network and software issues to include a wide array of miscellaneous packages supporting healthcare operations. A Field Engineer will be deployed to remote sites as needed to complete a project or assist in troubleshooting and repairing issues. Excellent communication skills and a strong motivation to remain knowledgeable in current technology trends are essential qualities of a qualified candidate for this position.

Special Attributes: Applicant must be proficient in the Installation, configuration and support of workstations and network devices on a routed Wide Area Network.
Education and/or Experience: Prefer Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Requires one year of experience supporting workstations and networked devices in a routed WAN environment. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Requires experience with Microsoft operating systems including Windows 7, Windows Server 2008R2, and Windows 2012R2.
