Internal Audit Specialist

Job Summary:

To function as team member to assist members, staff, and third parties with general aspects of internal audit activities for the credit union.  Perform and document internal audit actions involving, but not limited to, branch operations, lending, collections, operations, and finance.  Provide audit results to appliable executive team and management members.  Monitor and document management responses to audit findings.  Assist with other audit and compliance related functions for the credit union.  Assist credit union departments and staff with audit and compliance related assistance.  Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. 
 

Salary: $20.00- $25.00 Per Hour/DOE

Location: 951 E Hermans Road

Daily Responsibilities:

• Contact past due members by phone and mail.
• Take appropriate action to resolve the delinquency.
• Maintain accurate documentation of collection efforts.
• To maximize the collection and/or recovery of credit union assets from delinquent or charged-of loans by meeting 30- and 60-day delinquency goal requirements.
• To maintain accurate and complete records of all collection and recovery activity.

Preferred Skills:

• Up to six months of similar or related experience.
• Equivalent to a high school education.
• Basic understanding of bankruptcies, repossessions, legal actions, foreclosures, loan extension/modifications, and collateral protection
