Manufacturing Technician bei Bradford Company

BRADFORD COMPANY is looking for a bright, innovative, and highly motivated Manufacturing Technician for a manufacturing and machine build environment. This hands-on position serves as lead for department machine operators and maintains and enhances processes to meet productivity, quality, and customer standards. Works to troubleshoot, problem-solve, perform minor repairs, and provide necessary instruction and training to production operators, and other area leaders/members, while taking direction from the Production Supervisor. Oversees continuous operation of machines to ensure parts meet specifications and to detect any machine malfunctions or product defects, adjusting as necessary. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Responsible for the operation and assigned maintenance of department production equipment. Performs reactive and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. Makes necessary adjustments or minor mechanical repairs to the machines and auxiliary equipment in a safe and efficient manner. 
• Identify and troubleshoots processes, material, and a variety of converting equipment within the area to maximize uptime. Provides technical assistance to reduce /eliminate issues associated with equipment, performance, quality, and safety. Optimizes all machine processes by reducing set-up times, scrap, and cycle times.
• Assist the Production Supervisor in training of the employees for machine and assembly operation and monitors what the employees will be required to complete as part of the process controls.
• Communicate appropriately with maintenance personnel to avoid unplanned downtime, inform other shifts of problems, trends, etc. Assists with scheduling both routine and preventative maintenance of the equipment to have the least possible adverse effect on production schedules.
• Gather and analyze information to determine and implement improvements to the production process while working and communicating effectively.
• Assist in performing required quality checks and assures all production conforms to specification.
• Adhere to and maintains 5S and LEAN Manufacturing standards.
• Perform and promotes safety by abiding to all related policies and procedures.
• Establish and maintains working conditions and employee attitudes to ensure that work is done in a safe manner.
• Ensure workmanship of the highest quality standards, while meeting productivity goals.
• Understand and apply Company certified quality standards, as dictated by customer and market requirements (i.e. ISO, etc.).
• Proactively help to create and work within a team-based environment and practice effective communication skills, coordinating with other personnel.
• Train other team members and retain and apply job knowledge.
• Demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
• Perform other duties as required. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 

TECHNICAL SKILLS: Ability to proficiently use Excel, Microsoft applications, and Company’s ERP software. Attain established standards of cybersecurity training, including awareness and best practices, through ongoing company provided training when provided with a company email account and/or phone number.
