Role Summary:
The Commercial Banking Member Specialist II serves as a primary point of contact for commercial banking members and internal team members, providing an advanced level of support and expertise. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial banking products, services, and processes to deliver exceptional member service in alignment with organizational experience guidelines. The Commercial Banking Member Specialist II must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in handling complex inquiries from external members and internal commercial banking teams. They also serve as a key resource for branch team members and the Member Contact Center (MCC) offering expert guidance and problem resolution.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Provide advanced level or member service resolution for inquiries and problems from external commercial members, internal commercial team members, and provide knowledge and assistance to branches and MCC team members
- Take ownership of requests from the Commercial Banking Deposit Officers, Commercial Loan Officers, Small Business Development Officers, SBA Lenders and other commercial team members. Assisting with member product onboarding for services such as ACH, Merchant Deposit Capture (MDC), Online Wire, Online Banking, Account Analysis, Positive Pay, Merchant Services, and Sweep Accounts. This position will be responsible with product implementation, internal system set up
- Take responsibility of requests for temporary limit increases for ACH and MDC while providing exceptional member service in the process. While ensuring you obtain the proper documentation and approval to make changes in the system
- Manage the new Weiland process for ACH approvals and reviews. Authorize permanent increases working with Treasury Management
- Provide professional members service and complete transactions at a high level of accuracy to our external commercial members and our internal commercial team members who request the following transactions: transfers, line of credit advances, line of credit paydowns, term loan payment requests, and wire transfer creation up to $50,000,000.00
- Provide approvals for Commercial Banking Member Specialist I team members for debit card increase, transaction overrides, wire creation over limit, Q2 account linking
- Open new accounts and initiate micro lending for members up to $75,000.00
- Responsible for coaching and training for Commercial Banking Member Specialist I team members and develop training material for team members
- Provide a high level of competency and problem-solving skills to assist commercial members with their cash management solutions and to troubleshoot errors and system issues
- Assist the commercial banking operations with commercial deposit and commercial loan research
- Adhere to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance, state and federal regulations related to business accounts
- Attend ongoing BSA training to include webinars, BSA training offered by CPA’s, obtain BSA Certification and notary license
- Provide recommendations and process improvements to supervisor regarding the business development strategies and direction the credit union could take.
- Troubleshoot to company representatives’ inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.
- Perform administrative functions associated with areas of responsibility and duties.

- Ability to communicate with supervisor regarding matters of product or servicing escalation issues
- Ability to work under pressure and manage workflow to provide a high level of member service
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
- Two (2) years of similar or related experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required, preferably bilingual in Spanish
- Proficiency with standard office equipment and business software
- General knowledge and understanding of banking products and business services preferred
- Some travel is required to set up Cash Management services at member business locations, credit union training or events, to fulfill duties, and for career development as approved
- A valid Driver’s License is required
- Two (2) years of similar or related experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required, preferably bilingual in Spanish
- Proficiency with standard office equipment and business software
- General knowledge and understanding of banking products and business services preferred

Full Salary Range:
$28.16 - $42.24
*While our full pay range is listed, most new team members typically start between the minimum and midpoint based on their experience and qualifications. This approach gives room to grow within the role as your career progresses with us!"
