POSITION SUMMARY:
The Replenishment and Inventory Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment of stock to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory and stock-outs. The role involves close collaboration with procurement, merchandising, and warehouse teams to maintain an efficient supply chain process. This person will monitor inventory performance, analyze data trends, and develop strategies for improvement and growth

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Inventory Management:
    • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize overstock.
    • Analyze inventory levels and identify stock issues, implementing corrective measures.
    • Develop inventory KPIs (e.g., turnover rates, stock-outs, NPI) and monitor performance.
  • Replenishment Strategy:
    • Create and implement replenishment policies to maintain appropriate stock levels based on sales forecasts and lead times.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
    • Optimize reorder points and safety stock levels for all SKUs.
    • Manage seasonal inventory adjustments and promotional activities.
  • Supplier and Vendor Management:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendor to ensure a reliable supply chain.
    • Track vendor performance and manage vendor lead times and order fill rates.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics teams to improve inventory handling processes.
    • Work with merchandising and logistics departments to ensure cost-effective purchasing practices.
    • Partner with IT teams to develop or improve inventory management systems and tools.
    • Collaborate with the accounting team to address and resolve any payment discrepancies, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely payment processing. Investigate issues such as incorrect pricing, mismatched invoices, or delivery discrepancies, and work with suppliers to rectify these issues.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyze data to identify inventory trends, stock discrepancies, and inefficiencies.
    • Generate regular reports on stock levels, turnover rates, and replenishment performance for senior management.
    • Utilize inventory management software to track, monitor, and report on inventory data.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and replenishment efficiency.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and technology trends in inventory management.
    • Lead and mentor a team of Replenishment Analysts, providing training and development opportunities.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions in inventory availability.
  • Technology Integration: Lead the implementation of new inventory management tools and systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED 

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Degree Required:   Bachelor's Degree, in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.

5+ years of experience in inventory management or supply chain.

Strong knowledge of inventory management and replenishment principles.

Proficiency in using inventory management software (e.g., AS400/JDA, or similar).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Advanced analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive and results-driven mindset.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly: Computer Work, sitting

Seldom/Never: Walking, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
