Eaglecrest Ski Area is recruiting to hire a Snowsports School & Community Outreach Program Manager
to lead the development, management and tracking of community outreach programs.

WHAT IS IT LIKE TO WORK AT EAGLECREST
Juneau is a town of 30,000 people that are passionate about their small gem of a ski area.

In this position you will be interfacing on a regular basis with many other partner agencies and organizations. Most of you customers are local Juneau residents that you will be assisting multiple times throughout the season. This creates an amazing opportunity to build new relationships with a very diverse cross section of the community.
WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION
This position will work out of Eaglecrest Ski Area located at 3000 Fish Creek Road. During the winter season, the workdays will relate to the ski area operating schedule, generally working Wednesday through Sunday 8:00am to 4:30pm. Working during school holidays and occasional overtime will be required.
During the summer season, flexible scheduling is an option with the typical workweek being Monday through Thursday 7:00am to 5:30pm.
Position Duties
- Developing, promoting, managing & tracking all Community Outreach Programs & Southeast Alaska groups.
- Managing Snowsports School programming, supervising the Snowsports School Supervisor, and overseeing daily operations for both Outreach and Snowsports sections.
- Administering the Point of Sale System for Snowsports Modules, building reservations and programs.
- Assists in training & support of Snowsports Administrative staff, in outreach reservations/school group invoicing, including homeschool groups.
- Coordinates with SAIL/ORCA, for staffing needs to support School & Community Outreach groups
- Assists Director with development of new & existing programs for local & Southeast Alaska Community Outreach programs, groups and schools.
- Manages our Books 2 Boards Program, local middle school outreach program. Develops B2B staffing and coordinates with Juneau School District for communication.
- Acting as Department lead when assigned.
- Provides exceptional guest service to internal and external guests.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience:
Four (4) seasons of experience as a Ski/Snowboard Instructor. (Note: A Season is defined as 3 months of full-time work)
AND,
Three (3) years of experience developing, coordinating, or overseeing recreational programs.
OTHER:
The following certifications are required at time of appointment and for continued employment:
- PSIA Alpine Level 1 (or equivalent foreign certification)
- AASI Snowboard Level 1 (or equivalent foreign certification)
Either
- PSIA Alpine Level 2 (or equivalent foreign certification)
- AASI Snowboard Level 2 (or equivalent foreign certification)
- A PSIA/AASI Specialty certification of any level is required
Demonstrated proficiency as an intermediate/advanced skier or snowboarder regardless of conditions.
