Job Overview
Skills and Abilities
Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including short-term problem-solving treatment (MHIP), CBT, crisis intervention, brief psychodynamic therapy, and substance abuse treatment
Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills, including proficiency in administering psychological screening tools and implementing brief therapy in healthcare settings
Experience working with diverse populations, including the elderly, disabled, and disadvantaged communities, with the ability to utilize medical interpreters
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams while mentoring staff
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated with innovative problem-solving approach and demonstrated ability to document patient progress using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
Available to work evening and weekend hours to support urgent care and weekend clinics monthly.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods.
Will require travel to sites, programs, and special events.
Environmental Conditions Critical to Performance
Performs work in an office environment, climate-controlled through central air conditioning.
Will have exposure to outside environments while travelling.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Evaluates data and develops an individualized care plan to provide maximum benefit for all concerned. Oversees the implementation of the plan(s) and performs reassessments, as needed.
Collaborates and coordinates referrals with medical providers and other staff.
Interviews patient and family members; prepares psychosocial assessments, addressing all pertinent issues of participants.
Support with crisis assessment and intervention.
Educates and assists patients and their families in understanding and adjusting to the diagnosis, disability, treatment plan, and medical recommendations.
Refers patient to appropriate hospital services (specialty clinics, child life, etc) and community agencies (schools, Regional centers, MediCal/CCS, etc) as appropriate; assisting patient/family in utilizing such services.
Provide age-appropriate and culturally sensitive counseling and individual/family treatment as well as assistance in family life crises.
Educates and updates the interdisciplinary team.
Prepares and maintains all pertinent records, statistics, and progress notes.
Provided clinical supervision to MSW interns, ASWs, MFTs, LCSWs, and LMFTs as needed.
Perform all other related duties as appropriate and/or assigned.
Compensation
$74,397.44 - $92,996.80 annuallyCompensation Disclaimer

The range is subject to change.
