Delaware North Gaming is seeking a full-time Surveillance Officer to join our team at Mardi Gras Casino in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. As a Surveillance Officer, you will be conducting facility-wide surveillance camera operations to assist in the protection and safety of the property for guests and team members.

Unit Description:

Delaware North operates Mardi Gras Casino and Resort dating back to 2018. Located 14 miles west of Charleston, West Virginia, Mardi Gras features more than 25 table games, a poker room, more than 850 slot machines, live greyhound racing, and off-track betting for both greyhound and horse racing; several restaurants and a 150-room hotel.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor all areas of the property, including but not limited to gaming and cage activity, food and beverage activity, and security of the facility and the entire property
  • Produce written reports and logs on any observed violations and illegal activity promptly
  • Ensure that all cameras and computer systems are operational at all times
  • Ensure that all state racing and gaming regulations and polices are followed
  • Comply with confidentiality regulations regarding all surveillance information, including camera coverage, investigations, and proprietary material
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year related experience
  • Able to obtain and maintain a state gaming license
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage crowds effectively
  • Computer skills, including e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, routine database activity, and record keeping
  • Basic knowledge and/or training in investigations
  • No high school diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to hear and speak to communicate on a two-way radio
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • The work environment may consist of a dark area, viewing video monitors for the entire shift
  • Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
