Job Description:
As a Governance and Financial Planning Analyst, you will be a key member of the Governance and Continuous Improvement team, supporting both FP&A and Opex functions. You will act as the primary liaison for one of HPE’s Global Business Units (GBUs), ensuring alignment with enterprise governance frameworks, financial policies, and performance standards. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to translate data into insights that drive operational and financial excellence.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the governance and financial planning contact for an assigned GBU, ensuring alignment with enterprise FP&A and Opex processes.
• Support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of governance frameworks, SLAs, and KPIs.
• Analyze operational and financial trends to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Spend Management, and other stakeholders to collect inputs, validate data, and address process challenges.
• Prepare materials and insights for leadership reviews, interlock forums, and performance discussions.
• Track and report on key performance metrics, providing recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Contribute to resource loading assessments, capacity planning, and other financial planning processes.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives within the finance organization.
Skills & Qualifications
• Solid understanding of FP&A and Opex processes, including key handoffs between Business Units and Corporate Finance.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and communicate financial data effectively.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and corporate financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to translate data and feedback into actionable insights and process improvements.
• Experience working in a matrixed or global environment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
Education & Experience Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
• Typically 3–6 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or governance roles.
• Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., MBA, CPA) preferred but not required.
