Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops, plans, and executes audit programs; performs, documents and completes risk-based technology audits, complying with departmental procedures and charter. Serves as audit leader; gathers evidentiary support; makes recommendations for improvement; monitors implementation of management’s action plan.
- Reviews and evaluates the risk and internal control framework for Credit Union business units.
- Evaluates operations, internal controls and security to assure adherence to laws and regulations for technology related systems and network functions. Develop audit procedures to test technology systems and processes for adequate control structure, performance and network vulnerabilities.
- Performs research, testing and analysis necessary to respond to any requests, including but not limited to; technology audits, regulatory compliance audits and NCUA inquiries.
- Prepares and maintains a variety of records and reports.
- Provides consultative assistance to management and staff.
- Serves as system administrator for the automated system.
- Stays abreast of all technology related audit industry codes and standards, as well as all applicable State, Federal and NCUA laws and regulations regarding Credit Union operations.
- Promotes the Credit Union by participating in special events.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
To perform this job satisfactorily, an employee must be able to carry out each essential duty competently. The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and abilities required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Education Requirements
4 Year / Bachelors Degree - Information Technology, Computer Science or Accounting, or equivalent major or minor respectively - Required
Professional certification as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) - Preferred
Experience Requirement
2 Years - Experience in Information Systems auditing or related operations - Required
Maintain an active membership in The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) - Required
SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Effectively apply internal and external customer service practices and processes to meet quality service standards and achieve member satisfaction.
- Learn and apply information, on a wide range of Credit Union products, services and regulatory compliance requirements, in order to assess member situations and develop solutions.
- Provide guidance in the resolution of problems utilizing knowledge and experience within areas of responsibility.
- Use logic, reasoning and mathematical skills to solve practical problems and make sound decisions.
- Communicate in a professional manner and deliver information clearly and effectively. Actively listen to questions, opinions and ideas of others. Use tact and diplomacy in sensitive and confidential situations.
- Use correct English including spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Operate computers and use business software and other standard office equipment.
- Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Set priorities and manage one’s own time effectively. Efficiently handle changing deadlines and multiple concurrent tasks.
