Essential Functions / Job Duties:
- Assist with month-end and year-end close, including preparing and posting recurring and non-recurring journal entries (e.g., Salesforce pledges and invoices, shared services, reserves, YMCA dues, monthly estimates).
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies across key balance sheet accounts, including cash, deferred revenue, accrued expenses, prepaid expenses, deposits, fixed assets, and payroll.
- Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, deletions, and reconciliations to NetSuite and other financial reporting systems.
- Monitor and reconcile prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, deferred revenue, and contribution-related accounts associated with Salesforce.
- Prepare monthly facility rental invoices and assist with related revenue tracking and reporting.
- Support the preparation of monthly management reports, including budget vs. actual analysis, supporting schedules, and narratives.
- Enter and process accounts payable invoices, obtain necessary approvals, and monitor positive pay exceptions.
- Maintain proper support documentation for all journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and other documentation for the annual external audit.
- Participate in the development and testing of new financial system reports and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Serve as a back-up to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and month-end functions assigned to the Assistant Controller.
- Perform other general ledger analysis and ad hoc projects as assigned by the VP of Corporate Finance or CFO.
- Manage vendor records, including setting up new vendors, updating existing vendor information, and maintaining current W-9 documentation.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities / Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit or multi-entity environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
