Starting pay $25.64/hr

Work Schedule:
Second Shift (2PM – 10:30PM) Monday – Friday, + $1.00 shift differential
Ability to work daily overtime as needed
Ability to work Saturday and Sunday overtime days as needed

Products produced: Sweet relish, Grey Poupon mustard, yellow mustard, vinegar, pickle variations, BBQ sauce
Union Facility – Retail, Wholesale, and Department Store Union (RWDSU)
Job Overview:
Lead activities for relish, sauce, mustard making area. Coordinate various products in order to supply production needs. Maintain flow of stock to production area. Responsible for PC operations on second and third shift.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Direct daily activities of relish, sauce, and mustard crews, general labor.
Operate relish, sauce, and mustard making area without immediate supervision.
Read recipes, assure proper recipes are being used and make analytical adjustments if needed.
Calculate line yields and provide production with the proper amount for production runs.
Oversee and understand the operation of the Chlorine Dioxide system.
Responsible for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) checks
Oversee fresh cucumber receiving area during green season
Fill in for any PC positions when employees are absent
Perform minor mechanical work such
Escalating quality defects and concerns to leads/supervisors as patching hose, cleaning Tempco as needed.
Follow safe practices and report safety issues to supervisor as they arise.
Conduct inspections as necessary, report results including recommendations for corrective actions to supervisor.
Maintain safe working environment and proper sanitation and housekeeping in the area
Perform periodic safety and GMP audits as needed.
Other duties as instructed by manager or lead coordinator
Work in a safe manner, following all general safety rules of the plant. This includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
Escalating safety defects and concerns to leads/supervisors
Following PPE requirements
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 - 100 pounds, requesting assistance as necessary.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee will be exposed during his/her job to high noise levels, chemicals, exposure to strong odors, fumes or airborne particles, constant stair climbing, and slippery floors.
Personal Protective Equipment: The employee is regularly required to wear company authorized safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, rubber boots, chemical protection and other personal protective equipment to successfully perform the functions of this job safely.
Qualifications:
Upon hire will train to become Lock Out Tag Out certified and maintain qualification
Must successfully pass on the job training and maintain operator qualification
Forklift driving license required
