- Location: 4545 Dodge Street Omaha, NE 68132 & 6908 Mercy Road Omaha, NE 68106
 - Pay: $50,000-55,000 (More depending on experience)

As a Food Services Coordinator, you’ll be an essential part of our team. Your responsibilities would include overseeing food services planning and execution for menu, food, and serving needs across CSI programs. In short, our Food Services Coordinator will ensure compliance with health and nutrition regulations, manage kitchen inventory, train staff, and provide high-quality meal service to support the well-being of children and families in our care.

Essential Job Duties:
- Work with our vendor to plan meals and ensure that programmatic needs are being met, ensuing compliance with health, nutrition and accreditation regulations and standards.
 
- Manage inventory levels of food and supplies across all kitchens.
 
- Train staff on best practices for food preparation and delivery.
 
- Oversee food preparation and ensure safe serve and DHHS requirements are met.
 
- Be responsible for maintaining staffing coverage at each kitchen.
 
- Maintain clean kitchens in all locations ensuring that all food, equipment, and utensils are stored appropriately and in a timely manner.
 
- Ensure that all licensing and program documentation is logged and maintained.
 
- Provide teaching activities that facilitate the growth and learning of children.
 
- Act in a professional manner consistent with job description.
 
Qualifications
Qualifications
Do you think you’d be a good fit for this role? Ideally, you are:
- Experienced in running a kitchen or food service program (minimum 2 years required).
 - Knowledgeable about USDA standards, nutrition, and meal planning (preferred).
 - Capable of training and supervising food service staff.
 
Other Duties:

Abide by the Child Saving Institute Credit Purchasing Agreement and ensure that all purchases will be only for the official business and use of CSI.
 
- 
	
Complete other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
 
- 
	
Complete training necessary to perform position and necessary for professional growth.
 
- 
	
Facilitate a team atmosphere by working in partnership with other agency staff and promote a positive working environment.
 
- 
	
Represent the agency and programs in a positive manner to clients, community, organizations, and the public, in general.
 
Bonus Points
- Experience working with children and families in a food service setting.
 - ServSafe certification or similar food safety credentials.
